Fed up with cramped closet space, founder Drew Cleaver began to ponder a way to make
more usable storage space within his dorm room during his first
semester at JBU in J. Alvin Brown Hall.
"There's just so much dead space that seems to be here. It's not really being used and there's something in the way preventing potential space from truly being utilized
."
With this problematic situation in mind, Drew began to scheme up
ways to more efficiently utilize the 130 square feet available in room
18-B. Within an afternoon, the idea clicked. A year and a half later,
Drew's innovative HIGHER Hangers have been patented by the
United States Patent Trademark Office with Patent #7,404,503.
Prototype models have been produced in an effort to develop some
real life data and developmental materials to help advance the concept
forward. Progressive Solutions aspires to collaborate with The Container Store, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walmart, Target, and others to sell their space-saving and sustainable product.
"It only improves the global standard. There is nothing lost or
forgotten with my redesign of the common clothes hanger. My design
qualities advocate infinite potential in becoming the NEW global
standard as it's superior in the simplest form."
